Oral surgery is a branch of dentistry that deals with extraction of teeth, removal of lesions around the roots of teeth and surgical correction of gingival and bone defects. These procedures are performed with local anesthesia and are completely painless.
TEETH EXTRACTION
If the tooth cannot be treated conservatively, extraction is being needed.
EXTRACTION OF IMPACTED TEETH
Impacted teeth are teeth that have no space where to erupt (most often it’s the third molars), and they form gingivitis and needs to be extracted.
RESECTION OF THE TOOTH’S ROOT
When indications allow it (mostly teeth in the frontal area), there is a possibility for the tooth to be cured, not extracted.
FRENULIM RESECTION
Most often at the young patients, and rarely at the elder patients, the frenulum can cause diastema between the first upper incisors at the upper jaw bone.
JAW BONE LEVELING
Prosthetic surgery involves removing bony unevenness that would be painful when placing a total or partial denture.
