Good Oral Health, good Overall Health

Good Oral Health, good Overall Health

Oral health is a vital part of overall wellness. The research has shown that people with poor oral health (such as gum disease or tooth loss) have higher rates of cardiovascular problems such as heart attacks or strokes, or some gastrointestinal problem.

Healthy Gums

For the most part, healthy gums are always pink and firm.  Gums that are tender, swollen, or red is worrying sign. Keep your gums as healthy as possible by daily brushing and flossing and regular dental calculus cleaning.

Strong Teeth

What is the condition of your teeth? Are they strong and free from cavities or other dental diseases?  If you have noticed a change in color or other issue in one or more of your teeth or the gingiva, this could indicate some problem and you should contact us to get it checked out.

Pleasant Breath

Do you notice yourself still having an odor to your breath even after brushing multiple times? This could mean that you are potentially experiencing а problem with dental calculus. The presence of food particles, smoking of cigarretes and drinking a lot of soda is directly related to persistent bad breath.  Keep your mouth healthy and clean with good brushing and flossing habits and visit us regularry.

Healthy Oral Tissues

Another sign of having a healthy mouth is having healthy oral tissues.  Check out your cheeks and tongue to make sure they are pink, and firm. Do not ignore any sores or irritation of any kind as it could potentially lead to something more serious.  Keep your oral tissues clean by staying away from the use of tobacco products or anything super sugary as well as maintaining proper dental care.

If you notice any of the symptoms above please be sure to contact us and make an appointment.
